The City of Yukon strives to provide a range of recreational sports for people of all ages and abilities. From Women's Indoor Volleyball to Ultimate Frisbee, if you are looking to get involved in sports, the City of Yukon is a great place to begin! 

YOUTH LEAGUES - 17 & UNDER

Our youth sports are designed with 6 to 17-year-olds in mind. We recognize the age disparity that exists between this group and offer sport programs that mirror the variety that comes with the stages of adolescence.

  1. NWBA BASKETBALL

About

The Youth Basketball League provides kids the opportunity to play in a real game setting, while also learning the fundamentals of basketball. Games take place in Yukon, Mustang, Piedmont, El Reno, and NW OKC. Yukon teams get six home games in Yukon and six away games. Teams play two pre-season games in November for skill level division placement in each age group, 6u to 14u. During the regular season, teams play one to two games per weekend throughout the 12-week season.

As a competitive recreation league, scores and standings are kept and awards are passed out at the end of the season. This is predominantly a boy's league. Game times and dates are announced when the schedule is finalized. Practices are scheduled for each team at the clip of one to two nights per week. Matching uniforms are required and each team is responsible for obtaining their own.

Date, Time & Location

Various times on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and/or Sundays November through March in Yukon, El Reno, Piedmont, Mustang, and NW OKC.

Registration/Cost

$50 per player, plus team jersey fees. Register online or in-person at a Yukon rec center summer of 2023.

ADULT LEAGUES - 18 & OVER

Our adult sports are designed with 18-year-olds and older in mind. We understand the complexities of life and the importance of recreation as an outlet for enjoyment. We strive to offer athletic activities that cater to the busy schedule of an adult life.

About

This is a competitive league that encourages fun and enjoyment for everyone. Teams will compete in an 8-week regular season. The top 4 teams will compete in a single elimination playoff tournament for a chance to win the championship. Matching shirt colors and numbers are required for jerseys. Each team will sign up together through a designated team captain. A minimum payment of $300 is required to register. The league registration fee must be paid in full by March 30th or your team will risk ejection from the league.

Cost/Registration

$600 per team (includes all associated fees). Register online or in-person summer of 2023.

REC ACTIVITIES

  1. INDOOR SOCCER - 3 to 5 YRS

About

This exciting introductory league offers a fun, structured setting for ages 3 to 5 to learn the basics of soccer. Kids stay active, build confidence, increase coordination and build social skills, all while learning the game of soccer. Games consist of two 14-minute halves, the score is not kept, and no practices are held. Coaches are always needed. T-shirts are included in the registration.

About

Grab two friends and register to play in Yukon Parks & Rec’s 3x3 Basketball Tournament. The fast-paced games will get the ball moving and your heart pumping. No less than three and no more than four players per team. Max of eight teams per age division. If all spots fill, then each team is guaranteed to play three games. 

Multilevel tournament style. Governed by official FIBA 3x3 Basketball rules. Each game will have one referee. Matching shirts are required, or pinnies will be provided. Registration for players with teams only. ID’s are required for every team member the day of the tournament. Individuals without a team may contact the Jackie Cooper Gym (405-350-8920) for information about free agent teams.

Between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24th at Jackie Cooper Gymnasium (1024 E Main St).

Cost/Registration
